A tippler system (often simply called a "tippler") is a mechanical device used in the rail and mining industries to unload bulk materials—such as coal, iron ore, limestone, or other aggregates—from rail wagons or mine carts by rotating or tilting them. This allows the contents to spill out into a receiving hopper, chute, or storage area below. Tipplers revolutionized bulk handling by automating and speeding up unloading processes that were previously manual or labor-intensive.
